FarmvilleMaximizing your Farmville gifts

I’m tired of seeing people complain about not having enough space in their gift box, so I said to myself… why not create a guide on how to maximize your 30 spaces. Maybe I can help a few people out in the process.

As a lot of people know, there are only 30 spaces in your gift box. As a result, many people have had the issue of running out of space to add gifts (especially during special occasions) and many of these people have complained and complained about not having enough room and begged Zynga to expand their gift boxes to accommodate more gifts.

Now I’ve only managed to fill up my gift box once and when I found out that you could only accept 30 gifts, I was pretty upset. However instead of complaining, I eventually learned that maximizing the space in your gift box was the best way to have plenty of room for new gifts all the time… So, you want to learn my secret? Keep reading…

1) Always leave room in your gift box. No matter what…
My gift box contains on average about 10-20 gifts. Once it reaches 20, I sell off the stuff I don’t need/want and place things that I want to keep on my farm. I try not to go over 20, but when that happens, go on a clearing spree. This leads to my second point.

2) Prioritize
I tend to prioritize whatever stays in my gift box in order to avoid filling it past 20. By prioritizing, keep only things that you REALLY want to keep in your gift box in your gift box. For example I normally keep only adopted animals and some seasonal decorations in my gift box. By prioritizing what I keep in the gift box, I have plenty of room in my gift box. This leads to my third point.

3) Don’t ask for/adopt too much
Try to resist adopting too many animals, getting too many perfect bunches, and asking for too many seasonal gifts. Always keep in mind that this stuff takes up space in your gift box.

If you think that sad pink cow or ugly duckling is too cute to resist, adopt it and place it on your farm instead of leaving it inside your gift box. If you’ve decided to keep adopted animals in your gift box like I have, don’t adopt too many. Same goes for perfect bunches.

Try not to ask too many people for gifts as well. If you somehow do, decline some gifts or leave them alone until you can make room in your gift box. If you decide to place the gifts in your box, prioritize! Don’t have enough room on your farm? Make some, which leads to my final point.

4) Maximize your farm space
Place limits on things you add onto your farm to avoid running out of room. I normally add at most three of everything, not counting fences, cows, and chickens. I also try to plan out where the decorations, buildings, trees, animals go on my farm to figure out how to maximize the space I have. Sometimes I’ll add more than three animals on my farm, but I try to keep the number of animals I place under control. I actually do this to prevent my game from lagging so it serves a functional purpose as well.
